Synivis

Privacy Policy

Effective August 2, 2026

Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how Praxobyte, LLC ("Praxobyte," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, protects, and deletes information through the Synivis mobile application and related administrative and support systems.

Synivis is a classroom support application currently offered only through participating high schools and intended for students age 13 or older. It supports classroom organization and communication and does not replace a school learning-management platform.

Information Synivis collects

Student identity and access information

Synivis assigns each student an internal identifier and a support ID. A recovery code is generated for access restoration and is stored in protected form. Students are not required to provide a real name, personal email address, phone number, or home address to use the student experience.

Classroom and educational information

Synivis stores information needed to provide classroom features, which may include class membership, assignments, assignment status, announcements, exams, calendar entries, resources, shoutouts, completion activity, and streak information. These records are associated with the student's Synivis identity.

Teacher and administrative information

Synivis may store teacher display names, internal teacher identifiers, assigned classes, permissions, access credentials, and administrative actions needed to provision and support participating schools.

Device, notification, and technical information

To provide push notifications and secure access, Synivis may process device notification tokens, device platform, app version, timestamps, IP addresses, request and security logs, failed access attempts, and related technical information.

Usage and analytics information

Synivis records privacy-limited usage events to understand whether core classroom features are working and being used. Examples include student joins, class views, assignment-status changes, teacher content creation, support actions, and administrative recovery activity. Analytics records use internal identifiers and are designed not to include student names, recovery codes, push tokens, or the body text of classroom messages.

How information is used

Information is used to:

  • Provide student, teacher, calendar, notification, and classroom-support features
  • Maintain student access, class membership, progress, and recovery functions
  • Allow authorized teachers and administrators to manage assigned classes
  • Send privacy-conscious notifications about classroom activity
  • Provide support, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and protect system security
  • Create school-facing operational and engagement reports
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce service requirements

How information is shared

Praxobyte does not sell Synivis student or teacher information. Synivis does not use student information for targeted advertising, cross-app tracking, or unrelated commercial profiling.

Information may be made available to authorized teachers, school administrators, or Praxobyte support personnel only as needed for their permitted roles. For example, a teacher may see a teacher-created label associated with a student's Support ID, while the student experience does not require or display the student's real name.

Praxobyte uses contracted service providers for cloud hosting, database storage, notification delivery, security, and mobile-platform operations. These providers process information only as needed to operate, support, and protect Synivis on Praxobyte's behalf and are expected to protect information consistent with their contractual and legal obligations.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

Eligibility and school use

Synivis is currently available only through participating high schools and is intended for students age 13 or older. Participating schools must not provide Synivis access to a student under age 13 without first coordinating with Praxobyte.

Praxobyte does not ask students for direct contact information and does not use student information for advertising or purposes unrelated to the school-authorized Synivis service. Students may delete their Synivis identity from within the app. Requests to access or correct classroom and educational records should generally be directed to the participating school. Praxobyte will respond to verified privacy or deletion requests as required by applicable law and may coordinate with the participating school before taking action.

Data retention and deletion

Synivis retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, support a participating school's use, maintain security, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.

Students may permanently delete their Synivis student identity and associated active records from within the app by opening Account and Data, selecting Delete Synivis Data, and confirming with the current recovery code. A deleted recovery code can no longer restore access.

External student deletion requests may be submitted through the process described on the Synivis Data Deletion page. Teacher account deletion is handled through the participating school or Praxobyte support because teacher-created classroom content may need to be preserved, transferred, or retained at the school's direction.

Limited information may remain temporarily in routine backups or security logs, or may be retained where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. Limited security logs used to prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access may be retained when they cannot reasonably be linked to the deleted Synivis identity.

Security

Praxobyte uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, including pseudonymous student identifiers, role-based access controls, protected credentials, encrypted network connections, restricted administrative access, and security monitoring. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Privacy choices

Users can control notification permissions through device settings. Students can sign out to remove local access from a device or use the in-app deletion process to permanently delete the student identity and associated data. Questions and verified requests may be submitted through the Praxobyte contact form.

Changes to this policy

Praxobyte may update this Privacy Policy when Synivis features, data practices, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material revisions are published.

Contact

For Synivis privacy questions or requests, use the Praxobyte contact form and identify the request as a Synivis privacy matter. Students or representatives should include the Support ID when available, but should not include a recovery code in the initial message.
